Highland Park Live - Coopers Corner

I want to thank Bev Cooper for having me on her program last week. She has dedicated her show to getting this type of violence to stop, her intentions’ altruistic. If you get a chance to watch it, it’s called “Devon Bank Scam Part 1.”

Her program is watched by the probate court judges on the 18th floor (amongst so many other people like banks. I had no idea how popular her program was amongst the locals.) You also know my motto. Keep moving up because someone cares and it’s NOT the people who profit and pocket line. I also would like to urge my anonymous posters to contact her. Bev Cooper at bev.cooperscorner@yahoo.com. If you feel uncomfortable, I’m sure she can keep you anonymous and you don’t have to name names like I did.

I don't particularly care for the publicity this type of scam brings me either (which was why I didn’t blog about it sooner. I was getting over myself because being angry at Rick Block again isn’t productive. Of course, Rick doesn’t like being in the limelight either. He told me as much so I don’t understand why he gave me this job of watching him and reporting what he does to the public?) In any event, I was so nervous.... but calmed down and before I knew it 50 minutes went by. When I get the DVD, I'll ask Bev if I can upload it. That should be coming any day now.....

I’m also not sure when Part 2 will be aired? I’m a very fair person and my one request to Bev before I went on her program was if she would give everyone the opportunity to defend themselves because I was never given that chance. Don’t get me wrong, this has changed my life forever but it hasn’t changed me as a person. I won’t treat anyone the way they treated me. It’s my personal opinion (and the opinion of so many others) that Devon Bank doesn’t care about their customers. I also think she should ask Josh Mitzen (hired by Devon Bank to be Ludwig’s guardian) to come on her program since he’s everyone’s spokesperson. He says the most outrageous things with a big fat smile on his face. And he gets it too. Josh knows he’s shocking you, he just thinks he’s being cute.

I also need to clarify something I said on Bev’s program. I was telling her that once you open up a trust account at Devon Bank, your money is spent and you’re completely ignored. The trustees say that they won’t sell your stocks, hire anyone without your permission and so on. It’s all a lie. They’re in bed with attorneys’, public/private guardians, Home Instead Caregiving Agency and other banks. I said something like, after you open up a trust account at Devon Bank, “You can kiss your Exxon stocks goodbye and say hello to Washington Mutual, Bank of India (I believe??) and IndyMac when it was around.” This is what needs clarification. I don’t recall if that’s what they did to Ludwig’s money after they liquidated all his stocks (without asking) BUT I can prove that they invest their clients money into those particular banks since I Xeroxed them all. I have Ludwig’s account packed in the basement with all the rest of my evidence (the cookies, photos, drugging, Xeroxes, juice bottle, medical records, etc.). I ran across it the other day but it would just make me angry with Rick again so I left it in the box for now.

Also, I named everyone’s name that Janna Dutton (elder law attorney) brought in. I even included what Devon Bank is doing to Lucille Glickman. I imagine she’s on welfare now and you might want to google her in a few days because that poor woman’s story needs to be told. I can honestly say that I’m completely devastated by what Devon Bank does to all their clients but at the same time, I feel almost honored. You can’t meet me without knowing that if you pull any funny business, I will be the one who makes sure everyone knows about it. “I feel like” both Rick Block and Sally Griffin said to each other, ‘Tami’s the one who will put an end to our racket, let’s hire Josh Mitzen and Susan Phelan (owner of Home Instead) and show her exactly how we abuse our clients so she can get it right when she publishes it online.’ Honestly, that’s how I feel. Like they placed this huge racket into my small hands and asked me to get the word out and I won’t let Devon Bank down either.

Anyway, it’s late and I’m tired. I’ll edit this post tomorrow for spelling errors.

Judge and Lawyer Review Websites

For those of you who are asking me to set up a blog so you can comment or rate attorney's and judges, it's already been done.

To review a judge:

http://www.ratethecourts.com/

To review an Attorney:

http://www.lawyerratingz.com/

There are two attorney's that you're all complaining about that Devon Bank uses ALL THE TIME and they're not listed on this site but you can submit their names.  In reviewing the attorney's, make sure you also include the name of the bank or institution.  It's important to show collusion.

Cook County Public & Private Guardians

http://publicguardian.blogspot.com/

I set up another blog for Public & Private Guardians. I did this for many reasons and the main one is that I don’t get any positive feedback. NO ONE writes anything nice on my blog in regard to Devon Bank, Janna Dutton, Josh Mitzen, Home Instead, etc. They can’t because I don’t say anything nice, my blog isn’t set up to be fair.

Rick Block and Sally Griffin hired Josh Mitzen and Susan Phelan to make up the filthiest lies about me. They turned my love for a little old man into something sick and perverted just to get “free reign over the old man’s half a million dollars.” Every letter I got that slandered me, every name I was called in court documents is because of Rick and I never lost sight of what he did to me or Ludwig. Snipped.

In any event, if I publish the comments that people write on my blog, I become Mr. Block. I become a person that I cannot stand. So, in fairness, I set up another blog where people can write anything they want. I’ll set up posts so people can comment on “Guardians of the Estate” also and the banks that hold those OBRA’s.

Devon Bank Trust Department - Schedule of Fees

Sally Griffin lied to me and Ludwig again. (I know that doesn't shock anyone.) I found this schedule of fees when I was copying all their court files downtown (which makes it public record). I'm taking it upon myself to tell you the truth since that bank isn't very forthcoming with their clients.

When Ludwig and I met Sally the first time, I asked her how much Devon Bank would charge Ludwig to manage his estate. She whispered, 'Less than one percent of the first $500,000 and even less if the amount is more than that.' Then she whispered, 'We don't really like to talk about this.' I said, 'Is that all?' She said yes.

Obviously, that was ANOTHER lie.

Devon Bank misrepresented themselves to Ludwig and I hope they're not charging him that 'base fee.'  Just because Sally thinks he's a nitwit that's hard of hearing, doesn't make it true.  He heard her and we discussed the fees after she left.

The “extraordinary services” that are “outside Devon Bank’s scope” are tax preparation and reviewing tax documents. You’ll be charged $650 to file taxes every year, $400 if they read a letter sent by the IRS. Around $2500 when they notify the IRS after they force you into guardianship. Personally, I think it would be easier if they just walked those documents over to H&R Block where those services are inside their scope and performed every day. The letter reading might even be a free service that H&R Block provides for their clients who get their taxes done. (Of course, if they did walk those documents over to a tax preparer, I'm sure a Senior Officer would take them and walk really slow.)

I have reviewed other banks trust accounts and so far, I haven’t found one that charges a “letter reading fee” but I’ll keep you posted.  The fees for filing taxes are around $200 for other banks (names withheld to protect the innocent).

I found another fee.  After Devon Bank hires the most expensive caregiving agency in the city to "care" for you, they're going to run out of money and have to research putting a reverse mortgage on your property held in a Land Trust.   This proves to be quite costly.  Then, after their client passes away, the property looked like it went straight into foreclosure, honestly.  Wouldn't it be easier just to cut expenses and stop throwing all the money out the door?  (I'll tell you later why they don't do this.)

*****

$375 to remove your gun out of your house and get it appraised.  They say this has to be done by a Senior Officer which is understandable.  They didn't do this when they found Ludwig's gun though.

So, you can kiss your entire estate good-bye compliments of Devon Bank.

I think I have discovered why the Texas Ratio is so important http://josephludwigziarnik.blogspot.com/2011/01/devon-bank-complaint-department.html

The lower the ratio, the higher the bank fees.  Also, if a bank has a low ratio then they can't offer a competitive salary to their employees.

Josh Mitzen - Anonymous Bloggers

For those of you who are contacting me in regard to this guy, I found this post today on Probatesharks:

Removing a Bad Guardian

Once the Cook County Probate Court appoints a guardian, it may be a very difficult process to have that guardian removed, especially if corruption was apparent during the guardianship proceedings. Despite proof of violations of the rights of the disabled, financial exploitation, and violations of the Probate Law, it may be very difficult to have a bad guardian removed. Often times, bad guardians are left on the case throughout the remainder of the ward's life, allowing the guardians to continue to deplete the estate with their fees.

If Josh is abusing the ward, the loved ones, report him to Elder Protective Services (Catholic Charities):
